This weekend saw the return of the Premiership with new sponsors MDUK.
It was a tough start for the weekend for the team, playing West Brom Albion (Baggies). I got some pitch time over the weekend but sat on the bench for a large amount of this weekend - in contrast to the start of last season. However, when I did get to play I tried to make a difference and get the ball in the other teams half, but it was hard to get into the rhythm of it especially as set pieces and trained for plays were changed or were with different people that I had not practiced/trained with as much. In our match with Bolton Bullets we managed to get a win from a quick change of positions for set play resulting in a cross from me to teammate who then scored.
In our match with Man United PFC I managed to score a couple of goals but unfortunately we were only down to 3 players being allowed on the pitch due to PF1/PF2 status. We went all out for the win but Man U managed to get a last minute goal to bag the 3 points. It was cool to play against some of the new powerwheelchairs (strikeforces) in a couple of the games we had, with two of the teams we played having got theirs.
The team lost 4 games won 1- only getting 3 points from the weekend. Hopefully the next weekend will be better for the team and we will go out and smash it!
